t1b It's electric!

Did you know that the word electricity comes from the word  ηλεκτρον or electron, which is Greek for amber?  Technology Tom explained the Greeks found that if a length of amber was rubbed with silk, it would attract a feather and so discovered static electricity.

First, we made electrical circuits with switches to light bulbs and sound buzzers.  Next, we investigated different materials to find out whether they were conductors or insulators.
Finally, we used what we had learned to design and make torches.
