Welcome to Year 3!

In term 3b, we are learning about the popular children's author Dick King-Smith and enjoying reading his humorous stories.

In term 3a, we visited Bede's World, Jarrow.

 In term 2a, we are being 'Japan Detectives', researching all about the country of Japan, its culture and even learning to speak and write some Japanese.
 In term 1b, we read Jill Tomlinson's 'The owl who was afraid of the dark' to learn about 'Light and shadows'.

In term 1a, our main cross-curricular topic was in Science, investigating ‘Rocks and soils’.  On the 4 October, we toured Ibstock Brick Ltd, Throckley then used our Design and Technology skills to design and make our own bricks.
