Free School Meals Vouchers

The Free School Meal voucher system has been challenging and we still have some problems with vouchers from 6th April. The system is better than it has been although you will be placed in a waiting room before being able to claim your voucher codes.

From Monday 20th April 2020 you will receive an e-mail via 'Edenred' and this will let you know how to redeem your voucher for free school meals. We have been in touch with all parents entitled to free school meals f. or a valid e-mail address or we will be able to print out the voucher for you and arrange for it to be delivered to your house.

Each voucher is worth £15 and can be spent in the main 6 supermarkets and can only be spent on age appropriate items. Please note the vouchers cannot be used on any final shopping bill that contains any tobacco or alcohol products.

This system is new to all of us,including supermarkets so expect some teething problems. All of the schools in England are using this system and we expect it to be very busy come the 20th April. We will try to help where we can but bear in mind we may not be able to solve any problems straight away.

There is a parents FAQ document below, which should answer your questions.

Guidance for redeeming your e-code

Free school meal e-mails with voucher codes are now being sent out, please see guide above which should help you convert this into an e-gift card. Unfortunately we can't get onto the system ourselves to see how this works!

We will try our best to help where we can.

Thanks to Marie from St. John's Primary for the guide.

Please contact Mrs Hogarth in the school office Monday to Friday 9am to 3pm if you have any issues with either receiving or redeeming vouchers
