Learning together, growing together

Maths day

Doctor Mark came to school today and showed us lots of interesting maths ideas.  There is maths all around us.  He did some tricky puzzles and showed us some magic tricks - all solved and explained by maths.  In the classoom we explored lots of maths games and played a new tallying game catching fish.  Mrs Richardson gave us a tricky problem to solve - how many animals could we make for the farm using 12 legs?
We used lots of maths skills throughout the day and had fun!
Dr Mark cut an enormous hole into a piece of paper
 He changed a small shape
into a huge shape!
Big enough to trap Oli!
