SEN and Disability Policy


The SEND policy should be read in consultation with the Accessibility Plan, Annual SEN Report and the Parent/Carers SEN Information Report.

Other related policies include:

Admissions Policy, Accessibility Plan, Annual SEN Report, Anti-bullying Policy, Looked after Children, Medicines in School, Safeguarding, Teaching and Learning, Transition Policy.


The Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) is Mrs L Howse.


The SENCO has been in post for 12 years and is part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in school. The SENCo has achieved the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASC).

The link governor for SEN is Mrs J. Brown.

The link governor for SEN liaises with the SEN Coordinator on a termly basis. The SEN Coordinator provides the link governor with reports as necessary and an annual report is shared with governors each autumn term.
