I hope you had a lovely holiday and are ready to work hard in our final half term together.
Finally, a very big thank you for working so hard this year and I wish you all well for the future! Mrs D

I have been sent the .mp3 podcast to accompany the walk shown by the markers designed by Abbey. Unfortunately, it is too large to upload to our website, however, if any parent would like a copy, please email school and I will forward it.
How you can help your child
On Fridays, an aspect of Maths, which we have covered during the week, will be sent home for further practice. This should be returned to school on the following Monday.
Many of our children struggle with telling time on analogue and digital 12- and 24-hour clocks so it would help them if you could practise this skill in real-life situations, for example:
If it takes 45 minutes to travel to Grandma’s house, and we need to arrive by 10 to 5, what time should we leave?
English spellings will also be sent home on Fridays to be learned then tested on Thursday mornings.
A score of 8/10 gets Bronze, 9/10 Silver and 10/10 Gold.
The class with the highest percentage in the weekly spelling test wins the Super Spellers star in the Celebration Assembly. In Year 4 each pupil counts for about 4% so come on let's try to win the trophy
Please ensure library books are brought on Thursday mornings when we are able to change them.
School-home reading books
Please ensure your child brings their reading book and record to school every day, as they practise reading ‘in their head’ and aloud to each other or an adult. The children should read for about 15 minutes every evening and at weekends so you should sign the reading record as evidence.
