Assessment in Art and Design with be assessed by teachers observations of children's creative explorations and development of ideas. Children's work will be recorded in a personal sketchbook and in larger pieces of work.

Each block of art follows a progression of skills outlined in a learning MAT.

This MAT will be used by teachers to assess whether children have met a particular skills objectives.

Children will either be Emerging, Developing, At or Above the expected level for their age.
