Year 1
Year 1 had a fantastic week exploring sketching and printing! Taking inspiration from Paul Cezanne's 'Still Life with Apples and Oranges' we had a go at sketching, adding tone by shading. We discussed what still life meant and had a go at creating our own arrangements with fruit. After that, we were lucky enough to take part in a printing workshop where we had a go at creating abstract art using a printing press. Next, we decided to explore printing further by mixing paints and using different materials to print with. After trying out carrots, courgettes and potatoes we decided sponge was the best material and used it to create vibrant fruit prints.
