Art Week 2020
The focus for Art Week 2020 was developing our drawing skills (although Mr Pickup went slightly off brief). Mrs Hainsworth had decided, following work scrutiny as the Art leader, that we needed to develop drawing skills through opportunities to draw from still life. She posed the following question - How does Still Life help develop children's drawing? By observing objects from real life they could develop line, shape, form, tone value, colour, pattern and texture skills.
This year's stimulus picture/painting was Paul Cézanne's Apples and Oranges. Please take a look at each Year Group's page to see the direction they took when observing the painting in detail.
