Assessment
Whilst there is no formal assessment within our PSHE curriculum (we don't carry out individual tests or grade our pupils), our class teachers consistently monitor each child's progress throughout each unit of work to ensure they are making the expected progress and coping with the topics that are being covered.
We do have a progression of skills document which shows the expectations per year group, and teachers use this to ensure that all children are meeting the requirements of the curriculum. For those children who are not coping with the curriculum at age related expectations, we ensure they are supported by the class teacher and/or Mrs Longstaff our SENTA who covers the topics as part of her weekly Acorns sessions.
