Mrs Claire Gill
I’m Claire Gill, Deputy Head Teacher at Newburn Manor. I have worked at the school since qualifying as a teacher in 2008. I became the Deputy Head Teacher in 2017 and I joined the Governing Body at this time. I am also the Maths and Music Lead in school and have an interest in both of these areas. A favourite part of my week is leading the singing assembly with the whole school!
As part of the ONE (OWL North East) Trust, I regularly meet and work with the other deputy head teachers in the trust. I love working at Newburn Manor. The pupils always bring a smile to my face and every day is different. I have lived in the local area my whole life and I have many older relatives who attended Newburn Manor many years ago! I am married with a beautiful whippet (Ginny) and I love going for long walks in my spare time.
