Polar Express Christmas Movie Night.

We got into the Christmas spirit this week by bringing our pyjamas to school for a whole school movie night. The hot chocolate and popcorn went down a treat! We each received a golden bell and train ticket for the Polar Express.

Christmas Jumper Day!

We have collected lots of items for the Christmas fair. Thank you to everyone who brought in a donation.

Christmas Doors

It seems we have had visitors over the weekend! Santa  has received all the letters written by year 3 and has made his Naughty and Nice list. The elves dropped in to leave Santa's list.  It seems that all of year 3  can expect a visit from Santa this Christmas Eve!

Maths  Addition.

We have been using Base 10  to exchange ten ones for a rod of ten when our ones column crosses 10.

For example 347 + 8 =

Bonfire Night.

We enjoyed trying different collage techniques to create 3D firework pictures.

Friendships and Relationships with Operation Encompass.

We enjoyed having Operation Encompass come to talk with us about what makes a good friend. We talked about what friends say to encourage us. We also talked about language which would make us feel sad. In year 3 we are making sure that we look out for each other and are supporting each other.  We want yo be the best friends we can!

Our class trip to Pizza Express!

In Geography this half term, we have been learning about Mediterranean countries. We loved learning about the Italian natural landscape.

In food technology we decided to learn how to make a favourite Italian meal...PIZZA!

We visited the experts at Pizza Express where we tasted different pizza toppings and learnt about where they grow around the world. 

We followed instructions to make the classic Margherita Pizza. It was delicious!

We have been using base 10 blocks and counters to help us learn about the place value of three digit numbers.
