We started this session with a tool talk. Some of the tools that we use are very sharp so it is important that we use them carefully and understand how to handle them safely. There are several different types of saw, hammers and mallets, drills, bill hooks and knives.

Thinking of designs and making them is hard. The children found out how difficult it is to saw. It got a lot easier when they worked in pairs and shared the work. Nothing was finished today but a lot of good starts were made.

After a break for a drink and a snack the children cold start a new job if they wanted to. Some new dens have been made with great use of materials. What a busy group.
