Internet Safety

Week 5, Spring B

After spending so much time at home and online recently, Mrs Merrix thought it would be a great idea to start thinking about making sure we can keep ourselves safe online. We realised that lots of our internet usage was gaming and watching videos and programmes. This week, we have been discussing what we need permission to be online for. Take a look at some of the things that we were debating about. 

After sorting them ourselves, we realised that there were lots that we need permission for. Next week, we will keep learning about how to keep ourselves safe online!

Writing and Performing

Week 4, Spring B

Based on our reading of 'The Tin Forest' (which we are LOVING), we have written diary entries and cinquains this week. We learned that a cinquain is a 5-line poem and can be used to describe something. We used adjectives, verbs and emotions to describe the forest in the story. Some of us wanted to perform them to the class.

Building Shapes

Week 3 (first week back), Spring B

We are so happy to be back at school and have our wonderful Year 2 class enjoying learning in the classroom again. This week, we have started to read a book called 'The Tin Forest', did some beautiful Aboriginal-inspired art and continued our learning about shape. Take a look at some of the shapes we built.
