Reception - Supporting reading at home

  • Getting Started With Reading - Phonics Programme We have been using this phonics programme in Newburn Mannor for the past year, Reception children will use it from the second week of the September term. Follow the link to the parents part of the website to find out more and discover how we say all of the sounds so we can blend sounds to read words.
  • Phonic Lessons (Letters and Sounds) Pre recorded lessons using the same Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised. To watch the videos Click Autumn and look at the end of the title to see which letter and focus sound is in each lesson, then click on the lesson and you will be taken to YouTube to watch the video.
