Vision, Values and Ethos
Vision
We will nurture each child through their individual learning journey, to develop tolerance, resilience and a thirst for knowledge which will prepare them for the wider world.
British Values
At Newburn Manor Primary School we incorporate these British values into our school ethos:
- democracy
- the rule of law
- individual liberty
- mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs and for those without faith
“I knew I wanted my child to come to this school the minute I walked through the door” - parent comment to OFSTED inspectors.
Celebrating Success
Our classrooms and corridors reflect the effort and success of all of our pupils. We hold a weekly celebration assembly every Friday with attendance and punctuality trophies and our ACE badges.
School Enrichment
There are lots of opportunities for children to work on whole school projects. As part of this work we hold regular enrichment or ‘Super Learning’ days. Recently these have included: Space Day, CSI Newburn, Dragon Day and a celebration of the school's 125th year anniversary. We frequently invite authors and storytellers to come into school to share their skills and talents with our children including our favourite storytellers from Dodgy Clutch Theatre Company.
