Fake News?

We discussed how to spot fake images online this week and thought about the potential harm that digitally altering images can cause. Here's a selection of our thoughts and opinions...

Anglo-Saxon Day

We had a very special visit from 'That History Bloke' who told us all about Anglo-Saxon monks. It was a jam-packed day where we handled artefacts, learnt Anglo-Saxon sign language, tried out writing with a quill and played the board game Tafl. Year 4 learnt loads of new facts about the Anglo-Saxons and, most importantly, had lots of fun. What a great day!

String Telephones

This week, we were investigating which was the best medium for sounds to travel through. We tried to communicate with our friends by talking across the playground through a gas (air) and then through a solid (string telephones). Interesting questions were pondered, insightful conclusions were drawn and most importantly lots of fun was had!

Dance

In PE, we are doing dance and have been incorporating our Geography topic, 'Rivers'. Take a look a below at our progress creating a routine that shows the journey of a river through movement.

Collaboration

In PSHE, we explored how we can collaborate with our peers successfully. Great discussion followed and lots of brilliant ideas were shared about how to communicate and work together well. Then, we tested it out by creating collaborative drawings. It was so lovely to see everybody working so well with their partners, getting creative and having lots of fun! Take a look at some of the results below...

Vibration Stations

This term we are learning all about sound and this week we investigated how sound is made when something vibrates. Take a look at how we explored seeing, hearing and feeling vibrations from different sound sources.
