Day 2, 3 and photos to follow.

Day 1

We arrived safe and sound just before 12noon and ate our packed lunch in the glorious sunshine. We met our group leader for the week, the lovely Sophie who is guiding us around the site and helping us with our timetable for the 3 days.

We went straight on to our first activity of Laser Tag. We split into 2 teams red (Mr Vyle) and blue (Miss Luke & Mrs Hogarth), the games were really competitive and all children & staff had great fun. The red team won 3-2 and Mr Vyle assured us no cheating was involved! (Some of us may disagree). We loved rolling around in the dirt, hiding behind tyres/trees and even tried for world domination..... our enthusiasm definitely outweighed our abilities.

It was then straight on to zip wire. All the children made it into their harnesses, went up the stairs and stood at the top of the zip wire. They did so well and some even made it down the wire. There was a range of landing techniques in the gravel and they all approached it in different ways. Some were elegant and graceful and floated in, others slid in, gung ho style and even a couple landed with their eyes shut. The children were very proud of themselves and so were we.

Once we got settled into our rooms it was time for dinner and then on to our evening activity of Passport to the World. We split into 5 groups and each group was sent off with a map around the grounds to find all the countries. There was a flag and 3 questions for each country, which they had to remember when they got back to the starting point. Some of the questions were really hard and some answers easier to remember than others, the children worked really well together and helped each other out.

We were still excited and full of chat when we went back to our rooms for showers and beds, some were less keen than others to shower!
