Anzac Biscuits
As part of our topic about Australia and in DT, we have started to make some Anzac biscuits, some of us have made some at home too!









The Boy Who Grew Dragons
We are enjoying reading, 'The Boy Who Grew Dragons', by Andy Shepherd and have linked the book to our science topic of plants. We tasted and described dragon fruit and wrote descriptions of dragons, non-chronological reports about dragons and instructions for how to look after a pet dragon. ask us what has happened in the story so far.




















Celebrating VE Day 80 Years!
Fun in the Sun!
We have had lots of PE this week with multi-skills today with coaches, cricket revisited for the Forest School group to play a game and tennis skills introduced.
Rainsticks
We have been using rainsticks in our music lessons and have loved playing the didgeridoo so we have made our own Australian rainsticks. We retold stories and linked these to our learning about Uluru in Geography using symbols and we used the art techniques that we learnt last term. In music, we have been singing and performing our Australian songs too!
Finding Fractions
This week we have been learning about halves and quarters and we enjoyed using skittles to explore fractions of amounts.
