Parent Consultation Day - no school for children today, although they may be brought along whilst parents/carers attend appointments. School will be open again as usual on Thursday, 12 March 2015 at 8.55 am.

On World Book Day we will be having a fun day of book themed activities. The theme for this year is 'traditional fairytales' and we would like to encourage children to dress up as their favourite fairytale character. Each child will receive a book token on the day which can be exchanged for one of the free books specially published for the day, or alternatively used to gain a discount off any other book of their choice.

We are collecting Sainsbury's Active Kids vouchers in order to exchange them for outdoor play equipment.  Please send any you are able to donate with your child to place in the school collection box.

We are supporting the British Heart Foundation by having a 'red' day.  Instead of healthy tuck shop, the PTFA will be selling 'red' cakes in the morning, for the same price of 50p. We are also asking the children to come to school wearing any items of red clothing for a small donation of money to the British Heart Foundation. The children will be taking part in skipping activities during morning and afternoon breaks; the Breakfast Club is having a heart themed breakfast and there will be various other activities throughout the day.

We would like to invite parents/carers into our Reception class on Tuesdays, 3.00 - 3.30 pm, to an informal open afternoon when your child can share their learning environment with you.  No appointment needed, just come and go as you please.

 

Come and discover the magic of how your child learns to write!  Lesley Cook, Education Advisor, will deliver a session to explain the skills needed to learn to write, and offer practical ideas for you to support your child. Please join us in the ICT Suite at 9.00 am.
