World Book Day, a celebration of books and reading, will take place on Thursday, 2 March 2017 this year. Children may dress up as a favourite book character if they wish and all children in school will receive a £1 book token. The token can either be exchanged for one of ten exclusive World Book Day books or used to get £1 off any other book costing £2.99 or more at participating bookshops. Parents/carers of children in Years 2 and 6 are invited to join us on Friday, 17 February 2017, 10.15 am - 10.45 am, as we celebrate this week's achievements of children in school.

Parents/carers of children in Reception class are invited to join us on Friday, 10 February 2017, 10.15 am - 10.45 am, as we celebrate the week's achievements of children in school.

Parents/carers of pupils in Year 3 are invited to attend a short class assembly hosted by the children on Thursday, 9 February 2017 at 10.10 am, when they will share what they have been learning about the human body.

The next meeting of the Parents, Teachers and Friends Association (PTFA) will take place at school on Wednesday, 8 February 2017, 2.00 pm - 3.00 pm.  All parents are welcome to attend.

Parents/carers of children in Years 2 and 6 are invited to join us at our Celebration Assembly on Friday, 3 February 2017 at 10.15 am, as we celebrate this week's achievements of children in school.

Parents/carers are invited to a meeting with our Senior Leadership Team on Wednesday, 1 February 2017 at 5.00 pm.  This will provide parents with the opportunity to discuss the help they need to enable them to support their own children's learning at home.  Please come along if you can. Two classes deserve a special mention this week for a fabulous effort.  Reception won the Key Stage 1 Awards for Attendance and Punctuality, as well as the Golden Mile trophy; Year 6 not only won the Key Stage 2 Awards for Attendance and Punctuality but also the school's Spelling Award!  Bravo!

We are holding another parent/carer 'Come and See' drop-in morning on Thursday, 26 January 2017.  Parents are invited to pop in between 9.00 am and 12 noon to find out more about how and what their children are currently learning in class.  Please come along if you can.
