Many thanks to all parents/carers who were able to join us as at our Harvest Celebrations in school. It was lovely to see you all as the children gave thanks for all the good things we eat.  We were delighted to receive so many donations of food, baby and personal hygiene items for Storehouse NE, an organisation supporting people in need in the North East.  These kind gifts are much appreciated.

Today every child in school was able to choose a book to take home and keep.  These books were kindly donated to us by our local Rotary Club and we would like to say a very big thank you to them.  All the children were thrilled with these gifts and will take great pleasure in reading them.

Donations of non-perishable food items, personal hygiene or baby items will be gratefully received at school until Thursday, 13 October 2016, the day of our Harvest Celebrations, when parents/carers are invited to join us.  Gifts will be passed on to Storehouse NE, an organisation which helps people in need throughout Tyneside. Please help if you can.

Information regarding flu immunisation for children in Years 1, 2 and 3 will be sent home today.  Please return consent forms to school by 9.00 am on Wednesday, 12 October 2016 at the latest.  The immunisation session will take place at school on Tuesday, 18 October 2016.

School will re-open for pupils on Tuesday, 6 September 2016 at 8.55 am. We can't wait to see you all and hope you are looking forward to an exciting year of learning adventures!

The school staff would like to say thank you to parents and children for all the cards, gifts and kind wishes received at the end of term.  We wish all families and friends of our school a very happy and safe summer. A fond farewell too, to all pupils who have now finished their time at Newburn Manor Primary.  We wish you every possible future success.
