  • Super Learning Day

    Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the lives of the Victorians during our Super Learning Day, held to celebrate 125 years of education at Newburn Manor Primary School.  Many thanks to parents and carers who helped the children to prepare costumes for the day.  The children all looked wonderful!
  • Charity Donations

    Many thanks to everyone who contributed to recent school charity appeals. Harvest donations to the Salvation Army totalled £23.50 and a grand total of £223.60 was raised for BBC Children in Need.
  • New Staff Members

    We have recently welcomed several new members of staff to our school team.  Mrs G Curry and Mrs L Wight have joined us as Support Assistants.  Mrs Curry will be working in Reception and Years 1 and 3.  Mrs Wight will be working across Years 2, 4, 5 and 6. We are also pleased to have Mrs P Gray and Mrs D Stobbart join us as Midday Supervisory Assistants.

  • Multi Skills Competition, Years 1 and 2

    We are very excited to be taking part in the Outer West Learning Trust Multi Skills competition at Simonside Primary School. We are taking a team of six children and the competition will bring together our Trust schools and allow the children to participate in a structured competition, giving the children the opportunity to 'feel success'.

     

    The Competition Stations will consist of:

     

    1) River Crossing

    2) Grand Prix Qualifying

    3) On the Mat

    4) Super Hero Challenge

    5) The Never Ending Relay Race

    6) Monkey Munch

    7) Clowning Around

    8) Popping Pirates

     

    We're sure the children will have a great time, Mrs Dooley will be accompanying them.  The event ends at 5.00 pm and we would like parents to collect their child from the event please.

    Thank you to all who attended parent consultations this week.  We really do appreciate your help in supporting your child's education.  The teachers are always happy to speak to parents/carers regarding children's progress so, if at any time you have any queries or concerns regarding your child, please contact us to arrange to speak to your child's class teacher at a mutually convenient time.
