  • Applying for Reception Places

    The deadline for applying for places in our Reception class is 15 January 2016. You can apply online on the Newcastle City Council Website at www.newcastle.gov.uk/admissions  or you can apply using a paper form available from the school office.  If you have any questions please call the school office on 0191 2674533.  We have informal open sessions on Tuesday, 3 November from 9.15 am to 10.15 am and also on Tuesday, 17 November from 1.15 pm to 2.15 pm.  Please come along and see us.

    We have had a wonderful first week back at school. The children have all looked very smart in their uniforms and are nicely settling into their new classes. There are lots of exciting learning activities planned for this term, so please watch out for letters home.
  • Whole School Trip to Beadnell Bay

    Whole school trip to Beadnell Bay. A packed lunch is required. Children in Reception, Years 1 & 2, and those entitled to free school meals in Years 3, 4, 5 & 6, will be provided with one. Please bring sun cream, a hat, towel, change of clothes and don't forget bucket and spade! If the forecast is for wet weather, please dress accordingly in waterproofs and wellies. Please note that children must travel to and from Beadnell in the transport provided by school.
  • Performance- 'The Jungle Book' followed by Year 6 Leavers' Assembly

    The Year 5 and Year 6 performance of 'The Jungle Book' will begin at 1.15 pm. Parents/carers of Year 6 children are invited to attend this afternoon performance, which will be followed by the Year 6 Leavers' Assembly. Two seats have been allocated per child. Please contact us if you require more seats and we will try our best to accommodate you.  Christian from Year 2 will be hosting a tombola stall to raise funds for the school and the Children's Heart Unit Fund at the Freeman Hospital, so please support him too if you can. There are some fabulous prizes!

  • Year 4 Cycling Proficiency Course

    Year 4 children will be taking part in a Cycling Proficiency course on the mornings of Monday, 13 July and Tuesday 14 July 2015.  Children will need to bring a cycling helmet and a bicycle, with brakes, in good working order please, as well as a waterproof jacket in case it rains.

  • Healthy Tuck Shop

    Children are invited to bring along 50p for a cupful of healthy treats.
  • 'Seeing is Believing' Session

    Parents/carers are welcome to attend, any time between 3.00 - 5.00 pm on Wednesday, 8 July 2015, to look at their child's progress before receiving their annual report on Friday.  All books will be on display in the classrooms, staff will be around to answer any questions and parents/carers will be able to report back to their child on their work during the year.
