We wish all of our families a happy, safe and restful Easter break and look forward to seeing the children back at school on Monday, 24 April 2017, at the usual time of 8.55 am.

Today we wished a fond farewell to Mrs Wight, one of our teaching assistants, as she left to take up a new role as nursery nurse at another school.  We are sure that those of you who have met Mrs Wight will agree that she has been a great asset to our school.  Goodbye, Mrs Wight, we'll miss you very much! Please pop in to see us when you get the chance.

Children are asked to decorate a hat, tie, t-shirt, pair of socks (or anything else you can think of!) for their Easter Parade on Thursday, 6 April 2017.  We ask that parents/carers of children in Key Stage 2 attend the first performance at 9.30 am and those of Reception and Key Stage 1 children attend the 2.00 pm performance please. The PTFA is organising an Easter Egg Hunt for only the children between the two parades. 

Children are invited to decorate a boiled egg to bring into school for display from Monday, 3 April 2017 - Thursday, 6 April 2017.  Tables will be set up in school to show off their wonderful creations!

The grand total of £215.63 was raised on our non-uniform day for Comic Relief's Red Nose Day appeal. Comic Relief is a major charity based in the UK, with a vision of a just world, free from poverty.  Thank you to everyone who supported this worthy cause.

Parents/carers of children in Years 1 and 4 are invited to join us for our Celebration Assembly on Friday, 31 March 2017 at 10.15 am, as we celebrate this week's achievements of children in school.

Parents are invited to visit their child's classroom on Thursday, 30 March 2017, any time between 9.00 am and 12 noon to find out more about what the children are currently learning. Please note that Years 3 and 4 will be out meeting an author so will only be available in their classrooms from 11.00 am.

Parents/carers of children in Year 4 are invited to a short concert on Tuesday, 28 March 2017 at 9.30 am, when the children will showcase what they have learned during their weekly pocket trumpet lessons with Mr Rudkin from Newcastle Music Service.

Many thanks to everyone who supported the PTFA film show on Tuesday, 21 March 2017. £154.72 was raised from the sale of refreshments.
